At the age of 21, Howard Kaplan was sent on a mission into the Soviet Union to smuggle a dissident’s manuscript on microfilm to London. He’s now turned his derring-do into a series of thrillers set in the Middle East and in particular, Syria Howard joined us to discuss his work, and the current events that drive his passion.
